What’s up, gamers? This post right here is comes straight from my never-ending list of unfinished article ideas. At long last, I sat down and documented every arcade shirt in my collection.

Since all but one of these shirts were gracious gifts given to me by others, I want to express my gratitude in any way I can. The generosity of others is something I don’t want to take for granted, especially as we enter the “positive era” of Wilcox Arcade....

To my knowledge, my very first encounter with arcade games took place in the now-defunct Godfather’s Pizza in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. That experience, as you might imagine, laid in place the foundation for my current career.

Each and every trip to Godfather’s Pizza was a delight for me in my younger years. Not only did I scarf down the venue’s delectable vittles—especially what I likely erroneously dubbed “desert pizza”—but I also got to play my favorite games.

In today’s world, the sheer volume of content at our fingertips is downright staggering, and nowhere is this clearer than within the vast landscape of YouTube. That’s why I’m always searching for YouTube creators that I deem truly special—the ones that set their channels apart.

Arcade games are pretty great. And though there may be ups and downs, I think that’s something we can all agree upon. So it should come as no surprise that so many not only enjoy the games but content about the games, too.

While there are countless content creators covering the ticket redemption, pinball, and rhythm gaming scenes, I want to highlight those who create content about video arcade games in a general sense. I want to bring to light our community....

Though I still haven’t gotten to play it, I’ve considered Cosmotrons one of the most intriguing indie arcade games on the scene since its unveiling back in 2017. Added to the fact that I love listening to game designer interviews and panels, it was nice to see an interview with Arcadeaholics partners Shane Gutbrod and Dave Furrer on Episode 55 of the BitGeek Podcast.

Following the 2019 Louisville Arcade Expo—which I feel kinda silly for missing out on—show hosts Ron Avis and Nick Wright dig in to...
