Wilcox Arcade is Coming to Crofton, Kentucky (via The Pink Petunia)

After a five-year hiatus, Wilcox Arcade will once again grace the rich ground of Christian County.

The Pink Petunia in Crofton, Kentucky — renowned for selling all manner of flowers and plants — has graciously extended to me a chunk of square footage for bulk vending purposes. (Bulk vending, as I’ve explained before, refers to small items like gumballs and stickers, as opposed to the food and drink vending you might typically picture.)

In this case, my wife Jordy and I are torn between one of two options: either we’ll try to vend literal seed packets, if we can keep the cost affordable for our customers, or we’ll go with good, old-fashioned bouncy balls.

I think the seed thing would be especially sick — chiefly because it would be far more contextually relevant — but I’m not against bouncy balls in the sense that they just scream “summer,” the season during which The Pink Petunia primarily operates.

I’ve known the owner of The Pink Petunia, Allie Maternowski, since we were literally kindergartners, so it’s pretty cool for things to come full circle with our respective businesses. On top of that, I’m sure we all know how obsessed I am with Christian County, considering that’s where my beloved hometown of Hopkinsville is located.

Crofton is not at all far from Hopkinsville, meaning this could be my first step back to where I belong. Either way, I’m tickled pink — no pun intended — to provide the services of Wilcox Arcade in a location where you might not usually expect something of that nature.

The Pink Petunia will reopen on March 28^th of this year, and I’ll aim to be there that day if possible. And hey, swing by yourself if you wish to stock up on vegetation.

Don’t forget: Wilcox Arcade will also come to Cadiz in the very near future, via The Mason Jar consignment shop. That, too, will be in the form of bulk vending — more specifically, Tootsie Roll candy-coated chews.
