All-Day Switch 'N' Shoot Tournament Results (Surprising)

ree

The biggest Wilcox Arcade event ever is now in the rearview mirror — and with that, I think it’s high-time I share the official results.

What am I talking about exactly? For those who require context, we’re looking back on the all-day Switch ‘N’ Shoot tournament held at Know-a-Guy in Murray, Kentucky, on August 2nd, 2025. During said day, people from all over western Kentucky came to compete for an authentic Switch ‘N’ Shoot marquee, Wilcox Arcade merchandise, and signed copies of the “Monster Tape Zero” album by Groovy Kaiju.

Allow me to drag out this article a bit…because it’s for a worthy purpose. Thank you to everyone who played Switch ‘N’ Shoot during the tournament. Even if you didn’t win anything, your quarters — or the mere fact that you cared to be there — means so much to me. I felt an unparalleled sense of community outside Know-a-Guy that Saturday.

With that important message out of the way, though, I suppose there isn’t any other reason to bury the lede. Let’s lay out the results.

In fifth place was Isabella Sabatino, with a respectable 273 points. Believe it or not, August 2nd marked her first time playing Switch ‘N’ Shoot — proving that, with patience, anyone can learn the ropes. I admired her dedication to the game (and appreciated how many dollars she pumped into the cabinet).

Logan Sizemore squeezed into fourth place very early in the day, as one of the first players to pull up to the parking lot. Logan, who netted 353 points, has been an avid follower of Wilcox Arcade on TikTok and Facebook for months now. I don’t take support like that for granted.

Carson Constant, in third place, similarly showed what crazy progress can be possible in just one Switch ‘N’ Shoot session — if you’re willing to put in the work. He vaulted to 565 points after surprisingly few attempts.

Claiming second place, we have Dylan Norton, whose 803 points put a lot of other players to shame. If it’s any consolation, Dylan was pretty seasoned already (considering he was the first person to earn 100 points not too long prior).

The high honor of first place goes to Cade Utterback, who walked away with an exceptional 1,918 points. This man had spent tons of time practicing both at home and at Know-a-Guy before slam-dunking on everyone else during the tournament, so I can’t say his success was unexpected. Still, I heavily respect his insane performance, and I hope he’ll continue to play the game in the future.

Again, I’m grateful to everyone who gave Switch ‘N’ Shoot a shot that day. (Seeing a father and son try it for the first time together, for example, warmed my ice-cold heart.) You all deserve props for supporting the indie arcade scene in western Kentucky.

If you’d like to keep supporting what I do, follow Wilcox Arcade on Facebook or Instagram. That way, you can see when the next tournament comes about — or better yet, when I’ll drop another arcade game or bulk vending machine somewhere.

Until next time, I’m out. See ya ‘round, ya sweaty nerds.
