Wilcox Arcade Comics #003

Wilcox Arcade Comics is back for the fall season — only now with two additional artists joining the fray.

First up, my comic strip takes on one of my favorite mediums: linear television. For as much as I adore it, I can’t deny that over-the-air programming, these days, skews very…elderly, making me feel like something of an outlier as a viewer.

Jordan’s comic strip, coincidentally, also centers on our television viewing habits — like how we’ve watched Death Note on Blu-ray or Dragon Ball Z Kai on Toonami, among other things. Once again, she really likes to keep things wholesome in her work.

Newcomer Cade Utterback brings out the big guns with John Mcfars, an original creation he’s been fostering since youth. I’ll give him credit where it’s due: This is the only comic strip of the bunch that isn’t about two people sitting on a couch (which says a lot about society).

Last but not least is another buddy, Nick Kendall, who puts the “arcade” in Wilcox Arcade Comics — or at least reminding us that Wilcox Arcade is of gaming origins. I can definitely see his distinctly angular style resonating with countless individuals, myself included.

But yeah, that’s the line-up for September, and I hope to have more for you soon.
