Get Discounts for Gumballs at Epic Gamers

A little more than a month ago, I placed an electronic gumball machine at Epic Gamers in Fulton, Kentucky — but I never envisioned that as the end of the story.

You know me: I aim for the coin-operated video games and bulk vending machines on the Wilcox Arcade route to feel “alive” at all times, and at least at Epic Gamers, that mantra will directly benefit you, the end user.

How, you ask? Well, the owners of Epic Gamers have been generous enough to offer discounts on in-store purchases based on the color of gumball customers acquire from my gumball machine (located by the entrance).

A purple gumball will net you 15 percent off your total; blue will bring forth a 10 percent discount; and white will amount to 5 percent.

I don’t know about you — but considering the intrinsic value of a gumball as a “little treat,” plus the opportunity to spend less on actual Epic Gamers products — I’d want to engage with the electronic gumball machine any time I were at the store.

This is the exact kind of cooperation I can appreciate between a venue, such as Epic Gamers, and a route operator, such as myself. We’re both working toward the same goals, and ideally, doing so will improve your overall experience as patrons.

Not too far in the future, I hope “up the ante” on my side by offering a Wilcox Arcade trucker hat to whomever receives a Wilcox Arcade-branded gumball via the machine. (While I’m certainly not trying to drag my feet with this, I am waiting until my personal finances are a little more in order, so stay tuned for updates on that front.)

For now, I’m just happy that fine folks like you, my readers, will have ample reason to drop quarters into my electronic gumball machine in Fulton.
