Valentine’s Day Date Idea in Kentucky

Please allow me to proclaim, without a tinge of irony, something you might find surprising: Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays.

All right, perhaps that sentiment seems too saccharine to you Wilcox Arcade diehards out there — but it’s far from an untruth. Especially now that I’m married, Valentine’s Day grants me yet another wonderful excuse to celebrate my love for wife, even if the occasion could be considered a tad manufactured.

Hallmark holiday or not, I knew I had to tie the Wilcox Arcade route into Valentine’s Day in some form or fashion. Last year, I stocked my mini-crane at Know-a-Guy with appropriately-themed rubber ducks. This year, in the absence of said mini-crane, I knew I had to get more creative.

My newest Wilcox Arcade YouTube video spins Know-a-Guy as a venue that would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day date — and that starts with Switch ’N’ Shoot. It’s the kind of game that perfectly facilitates flexing your skills in front of your partner, after all.

Don’t forget: You can grab little gifts at Know-a-Guy, too. First and foremost, my red electronic bulk vending machine boasts Pokémon cards, Dragon Ball Z stickers, and Rick & Morty capsule toys. (Surely, there’s at least one option among those listed that would appeal to your sweetheart.)

If not, I’d wager products in my black bulk vending machine could very well do the trick. You see, I also offer an assortment of candy dubbed “Just the Good Stuff” by its distributor. Said assortment includes Icee popping candy, Slush Puppie popping candy, Dippin’ Dots popping candy, Now and Later, Toxic Waste, Zots, and Warheads.

Sure, Know-a-Guy may not be the first location that jumps to mind when you think of Valentine’s Day — but I’ve laid out a pretty decent case for considering it this year. Next year will presumably be even better, once I’ve added an actual two-player title (that being Skycurser).

It’s nice to know that Switch ’N’ Shoot, in the meantime, can provide at least some fun to couples, though. I really can’t advocate enough for that awesome, little game.

Arcades are the ultimate “third-space” for having fun with friends — or lovers. My selection of coin-operated machines at Know-a-Guy isn’t the largest out there, but it’s a solid one nonetheless. You’d certainly put a big smile on my face this Valentine’s Day if you gave it a shot.
