You’ve Never Seen Bulk Vending Like This

I’m Dustin Wilcox, owner of Wilcox Arcade in western Kentucky. If you don’t know me, I’m the sort of guy who places arcade games and bulk vending machines in venues throughout our region.

A bulk vending machine, for those not aware, is one which dispenses smaller products like gumballs, candy, stickers, and capsule toys — as opposed to the larger ones which dispense snacks and drinks. As a route operator, bulk vending helps me creep into locations where a video game might not quite fit (either thematically or due to space constraints).

For example, I’m about to deploy a bulk vending machine at The Pink Petunia greenhouse in Crofton, Kentucky. Even though I personally would shove an arcade game into every store on Earth if I could, I’m realistic enough to recognize that most people probably wouldn’t play one while shopping for plants.

You know what seems more within the realm of possibility, though? The patrons of The Pink Petunia purchasing something rather unique from my bulk vending machine there: seed packets.

That’s right: My bulk vending machine will be stocked to the brim with seed packets from Bentley Seed Company — including a vast assortment of southern region vegetables, herbs, and flowers. The fun part will be finding out which particular packet you’ll receive during each visit. Here are your possible outcomes:

  • Milkweed, Butterfly Seed Packets

  • Sunflower, Mammoth Seed Packets

  • Sunny Mix Seed Packets

  • Sweet Peas Seed Packets

I’ve never attempted something like this before — so big props to my wife Jordan Wilcox for the keen idea — but I’m stoked I’ll have the opportunity to do so at The Pink Petunia this spring. Each seed packet will run you only $2, which is 49 cents cheaper than the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.

Another reason I’m “tickled pink” to place a bulk vending machine at The Pink Petunia is because, for the first time in roughly half a decade, Wilcox Arcade will have a presence in my home county, Christian. Hopkinsville, of course, is my hometown, but Crofton is merely a stone’s throw away. I’m crossing my fingers that this deal will propel me toward additional spots in my favorite area.

But there you have it: a spin on bulk vending you’ve likely never witnessed before — in a county that means a whole lot to yours truly. If any of this sounds remotely interesting to you, please consider visiting The Pink Petunia when it reopens for the season on March 28th, 2026.

While you’re at it, I sure would appreciate it if you followed Wilcox Arcade on all major social media channels, including Facebook and YouTube, to keep up with my coin-op endeavors.

I’ll see you soon in beautiful Christian County, Kentucky.
