Wilcox Arcade Has Tricks and Treats This Halloween

ree

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.

Maybe it’s because I’m too irony-poisoned, but the ominous nature of said holiday appeals to me much more than the strait-laced sentimentality of, say, Thanksgiving or Christmas. I like a holiday with a little more “bite” to it.

As such, it should come as no surprise that I enjoy incorporating elements of Halloween into the Wilcox Arcade route — and this year, I’ve found a way to offer both tricks and treats.

Know-a-Guy in Murray, Kentucky, will serve as “ground zero” for my Halloween festivities this year, where I’ll rope in my two recently added electronic bulk vending machines.

In the red machine, I’ve temporarily replaced the Rick & Morty keychains with sticky and stretchy body parts. Although gore and gibs are not to my personal liking, the latter set of toys seemed markedly more relevant to the spooky season than an evergreen cartoon.

In the black machine, I’ve swapped out the Sonic the Hedgehog keychains for Haribo Goldbears — possibly for the foreseeable future. As much as I adore Sonic the Hedgehog, I also really dig candy, so I could see that being a great long-term play for you, the customers, and me, the glutton.

You know me: I promote every little development with equal fervor, so I’m sending out post cards announcing the new goodies via actual mail. (You could make the valid argument that my Halloween promotions started earlier this month with a one-off mailer to residents of Paducah, albeit that was more so intended to enhance general brand awareness.)

Beyond that, I’ll probably just make sure everyone knows what tricks and treats await them at Know-a-Guy in Murray, Kentucky. Until I get something more Halloween-related back on my route — such as The Spectre Files: Deathstalker or even Skycurser — the bulk vending machines will need to pick up the slack. That’s what I get for selling The House of the Dead, I suppose.

Still, I’m excited to celebrate this holiday, and I hope you are, too. Please do me the immense favor of sharing your prizes with Wilcox Arcade on social media if you purchase body parts, gummies, or both. You can help me reach new people.

Thanksgiving and Christmas will surely see some support, but I’m diving headfirst into Halloween. Visit Know-a-Guy in Murray, Kentucky, at your nearest convenience to partake in fair bulk vending via Wilcox Arcade.

Plus, follow Wilcox Arcade on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to keep up with future promotions.
